From matt at p00le.net Mon Jan 7 17:54:56 2008 From: matt at p00le.net (Matthew Poole) Date: Tue, 8 Jan 2008 11:54:56 +1300 (NZDT) Subject: [nzfug-general] MAKEOPTS in make.conf being ignored Message-ID: Greetings of the new year, etc etc. I've got a new dual-core system, and would obviously like to make use of its SMP nature. So I've put MAKEOPTS="-j4" in my /etc/make.conf, but it doesn't seem to be being used - buildkernel times are the same as when I comment the line out. Any suggestions? Have I missed something obvious? Or is MAKEOPTS ignored when you're doing a buildworld/buildkernel? -- Matthew Poole "Don't use force. Get a bigger hammer."
